The Elections Department has allowed a recount of all votes cast in the presidential polls in Singapore after the two leading candidates ended up with a razor-thin margin.

Tan Kin Lian has promised to continue as the "the voice of the people" after a disappointing campaign for the presidency. Dr Tan Cheng Bock and his team are feeling upbeat about the results, with only one set of results that are not so good.
